About Shri Alop Shankari ShaktipeethShri Alop Shankari Shaktipeeth stands in Alopibagh, Prayagraj, near the holy Triveni Sangam where the Ganga, Yamuna and unseen Sarasvati meet. It is revered as one of the Shakti Peethas of Bharat, remembered as the place where a part of Sati is said to have fallen and vanished — and so the Devi is called Alop Shankari, the "alop" (disappeared) Shakti. It is famed above all as the temple with no idol: the Devi is worshipped as a formless, hidden presence, a covered wooden palna (cradle) over the sacred kund. Devotees come to lay a heartfelt prayer at the palna — for protection from the unseen, for a run of unexplained troubles to settle, and for one hidden manokamna held close in the heart.
How the ritual is performedExperienced pandits invoke the gupt Shakti of Alopi Devi with red-chunri, sindoor, red flowers and nariyal raksha-arpan at the palna, all in authentic Vedic vidhi. Every step is dedicated to your family naam-gotra alone, on the single tithi you choose, a heartfelt prayer for protection from the unseen and one hidden manokamna.
Why DivyachadhavaDevotees usually want the puja carried with care — a clear vidhi, a clear video, and a clear sankalp before the gupt Alopi Devi.
