Simple, dharmic upay rooted in Hanuman Ji's protection to dissolve enmity, jealousy and hidden opposition, restoring peace and strength without wishing harm on anyone.
Every life eventually meets opposition - a colleague who works against you, a relative consumed by jealousy, a business rival spreading rumours, or an unseen ill-wisher whose negativity seems to follow you around. Sanatan Dharma teaches that the answer to enmity is never to wish harm back, but to build such inner strength and protection that hostility simply cannot take root. Lord Hanuman, the deity of courage, strength and unwavering devotion, is the most trusted refuge for exactly this kind of baadha (obstruction).
Why Hanuman Ji is the protector against shatru (enemies)
Hanuman Ji is called Sankatmochan - the remover of every crisis. Because he himself defeated the most powerful adversaries through strength rooted in dharma and devotion rather than malice, his blessing does not harm the enemy out of hatred; it simply dissolves their power to affect you, and often, in time, softens their hostility altogether. This is why devotees dealing with office politics, family disputes, court rivals, business competitors, or plain bad energy from jealous people turn to him rather than to darker practices.
Upay 1: Tuesday and Saturday Hanuman Chalisa path
Every Tuesday and Saturday, take a bath early, wear clean clothes (preferably red or orange), and recite the Hanuman Chalisa in front of a Hanuman idol or picture, ideally at a temple or in your home puja space. Reciting it 7 or 11 times consecutively on a Tuesday, if time permits, is considered especially powerful for shatru baadha nivaran.
Upay 2: Bajrang Baan for strong or hidden opposition
When the enemy's actions are causing real distress - false complaints, backbiting, sabotage at work - the Bajrang Baan is the classical remedy. Recite it once daily, preferably at sunrise, with full faith, after lighting a diya of til (sesame) oil before Hanuman Ji. It is traditionally not recited without reason or repeated excessively - once a day with sincerity is enough.
Upay 3: Sindoor and chameli oil offering
On a Tuesday, offer sindoor mixed with chameli (jasmine) oil to Hanuman Ji, and apply a small tilak of the same to your own forehead before stepping out to face a difficult person or situation. This is one of the oldest and most common practices for personal protection in Hanuman worship.
Upay 4: Mantra jaap for protection
Chant this mantra 108 times daily using a rudraksha mala:
Om Hanumate Namah
Or for stronger protection during an active dispute:
Om Namo Hanumate Bhaya Bhanjanaya Sukham Kuru Phat Swaha
Chant with the intention of protection and peace, not the harm of any person - this keeps the practice aligned with dharma and ensures its benefit remains steady.
Upay 5: Hanuman Ji's boondi laddu or gud-chana prasad seva
Offering boondi laddu, gud (jaggery) and roasted chana to Hanuman Ji on Tuesdays, and then distributing a portion to those in need, is a well-known practice that pleases him quickly and is often paired with a prayer for relief from a specific enemy or difficult situation.
What to avoid
Never use these upay, or any other practice, with an intention of causing harm to another person - that is not dharma and will not bring the desired peace or protection. Do not perform Bajrang Baan out of anger or repeatedly in a single day; once with faith is sufficient. Continue to act with integrity in your dealings, seek fair resolution where possible, and let these practices strengthen your inner calm rather than replace honest, wise conduct.

FAQ
Common questions
How often should I recite Bajrang Baan for enemy trouble?
Once a day, preferably at sunrise, with full faith is considered sufficient and appropriate. It is traditionally not recited casually or repeated many times a day.
Will this upay harm my enemy?
No, these upay are protective, not harmful. They are meant to shield you from negativity and dissolve an enemy's ability to affect you, not to cause them injury - performing them with any intention of harm goes against dharma.
Can women perform Hanuman Ji's upay for shatru baadha?
Yes, Hanuman Ji's worship, mantra jaap and Hanuman Chalisa path are open to all devotees regardless of gender; local family or temple tradition can guide any specific customs.
What if the enemy is a close family member?
The same upay apply - the goal is to restore your own peace and protection and soften the situation, not to escalate conflict. Continue trying respectful communication and, where needed, seek family elders' guidance alongside these practices.
