About Shri Vishnupad MandirShri Vishnupad Mandir stands on the banks of the Falgu at Gaya, in Bihar, enshrining the sacred footprint of Lord Vishnu, held to have been set here by the Lord himself. It is among the most revered Vishnu shrines of the land, where devotees come to seek Hari’s grace for the well-being and continuity of their family. On Sawan Putrada Ekadashi, couples throng to pray for the gift of a child.
How the ritual is performedThe Sawan Putrada Ekadashi sankalp is carried at the Vishnupad darbar in your naam-gotra, on the Shravan Shukla Ekadashi, the vrat of Lord Vishnu for a child.
Why DivyachadhavaDevotees want the sankalp carried with care, a clear ritual, a clear video, and a clear naam-gotra spoken before Lord Vishnu at Vishnupad.
Sawan is Lord Shiva’s holiest month, and its Putrada Ekadashi the most powerful day to seek the gift of a child from Lord Vishnu.
