Lakshmi Jayanti, the Phalguna Purnima, is held as the day Maa Lakshmi rose radiant from the churning of the ocean and chose Vishnu and the devout; and it is the very Purnima of Holi, a day of colour, plenty and auspiciousness. On this day Maa Harsiddhi is worshipped in her Maha-Lakshmi aspect, and a sankalp is offered in your naam-gotra so that Maa Lakshmi comes to dwell in your home, wealth flows in and holds instead of slipping away, savings finally build, the leaks of money are stopped, and the home fills with plenty and auspiciousness.
