Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga rises above the holy Narmada in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh, the fourth of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Its sacred island carries the form of the ॐ syllable, and Omkareshwar is worshipped as a self-manifest, moksha-giving form of Mahadev. Through Sawan, the holiest month, pilgrims throng its ghats for jalabhishek and Rudrabhishek in the Narmada’s holy waters.
The Rudrabhishek and 2100 Maha Mrityunjaya Maha-Jaap are carried at the Omkareshwar darbar in your naam-gotra, from the second Sawan Somvar to the Sawan Shivratri Nishita night.
Devotees want the sankalp carried with care, a clear ritual, a clear video, and a clear naam-gotra spoken before Omkareshwar Mahadev.
Sawan is Lord Shiva’s holiest month, and its Shivratri the most powerful night to reach him. From the second Sawan Somvar of 10 August 2026 to the Sawan Shivratri Nishita night of 11 August, a Rudrabhishek and a 2100 Maha Mrityunjaya Maha-Jaap are held in your naam-gotra at Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga on the Narmada, for health, protection and a fearless life.
