Shri Siddhvat Ghat on the Shipra at Ujjain houses the immortal banyan — the vat — where, per the Skanda Purana, Mata Parvati first performed Pitru Tarpan. Akbar is said to have ordered the tree felled; it regrew the same night.
Along with Gaya, this is where the tarpan for one's ancestors is most often taken. Devotees come on Amavasya, through Pitru Paksha, and on a shraddh tithi when travel is not possible. The rite is performed in your naam-gotra and the video follows.

The Skanda Purana holds that Mata Parvati performed the first Pitru Tarpan beneath this vat. A rite performed where it was first performed carries, by tradition, a particular weight — which is why Siddhvat is named alongside Gaya for the tarpan offered to ancestors.
