The aarti salutes Kuber as the king of the Yakshas and the lord of wealth who removes sorrow and affliction. He is described as the guardian of the north direction (Uttar Disha) and the giver of the nine treasures (navnidhi), who is seated alongside Devi Lakshmi and showers his devotees' homes with prosperity.
